The Philippines offers some of the best scuba diving in the world with a huge variety of different destinations. Many of these are best done via liveaboard between the hundreds of islands.
The Philippines lie in the Coral Triangle, the region with the worldwide highest biodiversity underwater. It is home to at least 4000 different fish and invertebrate species and about 15% of the world’s coral reefs can be found here.
Some of the most famous liveaboard destinations are Tubbataha, the Visayas and Apo Reef.
Tubbataha is a marine reserve offering the best shark diving in Southeast Asia. The area can only be dived between March and June each year.
