Socorro Liveaboards

The four islands of the Revillagigedos Archipelago offer some of the best diving with pelagics in the world. All islands resulted from volcanic eruptions. The biggest is Socorro while the smallest is just a rock (Roca Partida) sticking out of the ocean. The other two islands San Benedicto and Clarión are somewhere between.

Liveaboard trips are the only option to reach these islands. In total there are 8 boats visiting the islands. Thanks to the amazing coordination between the boats there will never be more than one group of divers at the same site.

The main sights include mantas, sharks, dolphins, whales, schooling fish and a lot of life in general.

The best time to visit is November until May. Read all about diving conditions and logistics in the Ultimate Guide to Socorro Diving.

Most of the boats will head to Guadalupe Island outside of the season at the Revillagigedos for cage diving with the great whites.

An 8 night trip to the Revillagigedos including about 20 dives with one of the liveaboards listed below will cost between USD 2700 and 3600. Keep an eye out for special offers!

You might get lucky with finding an amazing last minute deal (I did). When you really want to go during a special time, for example to see the whales in February, make sure to book early.
